Natural resources are things in our environment that can be used to keep us alive (water, wildlife) or can be used to give us a more comfortable life (oil, gas).
Resources are either renewable or nonrenewable. Renewable means they replenish themselves and nonrenewable means that they are not replenished.
This is where conservation comes in. Conservation is using our resources wisely so that future generations will still have the benefits. Humans will still need water and energy sources, so we must conserve and come up with alternative ways to get the same energy.
