Reusing Household Items
1. Plastic bottle lids come in all shapes, colors and sizes. You can use them for counting in early childhood classrooms.
2. Button can be used for counting also, but they are better for making eyes and noses on puppets.
3. Plastic eggs from Easter can be used over and over again, year after year. But if they pile up, you can put uncooked rice, beans, or pasta inside and you have a maraca.

5. As far as containers, the possibilities are endless. Big pretzel or other fine snack containers can be washed then used to store whatever you want! Smaller containers like oatmeal ones can be used to make drums.
6. Another favorite instrument is a guitar. If you take a shoebox and some rubberbands, you can make a guitar.
7. Water bottles can be reused with tap water and food dye to make a home made snowglobe.
